Frankfurt, 2 March 2026 – GARBE Infrastructure is strengthening its team with the appointment of Dr. Tobias Brosze as Senior Advisor. The longstanding Technical Board Member of Mainzer Stadtwerke AG will advise the company exclusively on the development of new partnership models at the interface of municipal utilities and institutional capital.
Dr. Tobias Brosze served as Technical Board Member and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Mainzer Stadtwerke AG from 2014 to 2024. In this role, he was responsible for conventional and renewable energy supply, district heating, grid infrastructure and digitalisation, among other areas. He also chaired the Digitalisation Committee of the Association of Municipal Enterprises (VKU).
Thomas Kallenbrunnen, Managing Director of GARBE Infrastructure, comments: “2026 is a pivotal year for infrastructure in Germany: major municipalities must submit their heat planning strategies, the special infrastructure fund must be put to work — above and below ground. At the same time, strengthening infrastructure resilience while advancing the energy transition in heat and power all require financing. What is needed to make this happen are partners who understand both sides — the requirements of municipal utilities and public authorities, as well as the financial and investment perspective. Tobias Brosze builds exactly that bridge, while GARBE Infrastructure brings the implementation experience and investor network for large-scale projects.”
Dr. Tobias Brosze adds: “I look forward to contributing my perspective and hands-on experience from the world of municipal utilities and local government — and to developing partnerships that will often be far more than a purely financial arrangement.”
